and even though our violent crime rate is less where people are more able to get guns and even though connecticut has the very kind of law that senator feinstein wants somehow we are to believe that her -- by the way, i got to admire her in one way. not only did she not get her semi auto ban stick the last time it went off the books. now she wants to come back with one on steroids. i wish there were people on my side of the aisle that had that kind of tenacity so senator feinstein hats off to you. >> what do you say, alexus? to me, it's not unreasonable to know where the guns are. i don't know i don't want eric holder to be the guy with that list. >> first of all, we know that almost 40% of guns in this country are being sold by unlicensed dealers. right? we're not getting universal background checks. things that could help us reduce crime. we're not -- 7 a% of states are also able to ignore a lot of the mental illness requirements and things that the gun lobby and people like larry are making as a case that we need to be supporting more, understanding of what is happening with the mental illness
